Protect 700 Cows Through CSR
At Periyar Gaushala Foundation, we protect India's native cows and let them live their full lifespan with dignity and respect. Today, our gaushalas care for 700 cows, including Gir cows brought from Gujarat, across our sanctuaries in Mumbai, Kerala and Bhopal.
Caring for them is a daily commitment. Every month it costs us Rs 58 lakh, which works out to about Rs 8,285 per cow. That covers fodder, veterinary care, shelter, water, and the people who look after the herd around the clock.
We cannot carry this alone. We invite companies to join us as CSR partners, so that no cow goes hungry, untreated or without a roof over her head.
